The Electronic RF Engineer will design, develop, test and characterize RF solutions aimed at SAR radar for satellite and airborne applications. These solutions comprehend RF front end from antenna to signal digitalization in baseband.
With the project manager, he or she will verify the compliance of the proposed solutions to the project specifications, in order to have optimized solutions for the application. The candidate will evaluate the reuse of known solutions or the proposal of new and original ones. The candidate will also provide the support needed to transfer and integrate the solutions to final satellite or airborne platform.
• Strong knowledge of RF systems design, in particular of complex projects integrating RF, analog and digital control subsystems
• Knowledge of RF layout rules for RF boards up to K band
• Experience with RF and EM simulations tools (CST, ADS, MWO, HFSS, Sonnet, AN-SOF)
• Experience with circuital simulation tools (LTspice, ADS, QUCS, Tina)
• Experience with electronic design tools (Altium, Cadence, Kicad)
• Experience with system analysis and simulation tools (Matlab RF Toolkit, Simulink, Labview)
• Knowledge of basic RF measurement techniques with wideband instrumentation (VNA, spectrum analyzers and oscilloscopes)
• Ability to teamwork on shared projects and to interact with all entities involved in the project
• Strong communication ability to clearly explain technical concepts in oral and written form
• Technical leadership and skills to keep good relationship with all the team
• Fluent English both spoken and written
