MetaSensing and EnduroSat establish a strategic partnership to accelerate access to European SAR capabilities

MetaSensing and EnduroSat announce a strategic partnership to deliver faster, more accessible and highly reliable high-resolution SAR capabilities, significantly reducing the time, complexity and cost traditionally associated with SAR programs.

The collaboration combines MetaSensing’s radar excellence with EnduroSat’s proven satellite platform and operational model, resulting in a fully European, end-to-end SAR solution designed to be scalable, predictable and industrially robust.

A secure and reliable path to SAR capability

The development of SAR systems has historically been characterized by long, complex and high-risk programs, often constrained by fragmented supply chains and limited data autonomy.
The partnership between MetaSensing and EnduroSat directly addresses these challenges, offering government, defense and commercial operators a model that enables them to:

  • Significantly reduce time-to-data, with first results available within months
  • Eliminate integration risk, thanks to a modular and already qualified architecture
  • Maintain full control over data, processing pipelines and applications
  • Rely on a consolidated European supply chain, supporting sovereignty, operational continuity and long-term sustainability

The result is a reliable and repeatable SAR capability, suitable for both sovereign programs and large-scale commercial constellations.

Integrated SAR capabilities, mission-ready

The partnership provides access to two complementary and technologically mature X-band SAR payloads, covering a wide range of operational mission needs:

  • PhoeniX: a compact, high-performance SAR payload delivering resolutions down to ~0.125 m, well suited for Earth observation, continuous monitoring and high-revisit operational applications.
  • StarSAR-X: a fully phased-array, multi-channel SAR instrument capable of achieving resolutions as fine as ~0.125 m in fully polarization, supporting advanced electronically steered modes with multichannel capabilities optimized for demanding ISR and high-precision mapping missions.

Both payloads are fully integrated on EnduroSat’s FRAME15 and FRAME24 platform and delivered as an end-to-end mission service, covering mission design, integration, launch and in-orbit operations. This approach allows customers to focus on mission objectives and data value, while substantially reducing program complexity and risk.
