In January 2025, MetaSensing reached a significant milestone with the successful completion of the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) for three Guardian radar units, associated with the first of three batches developed for Milkor, a South African company specialized in the design and manufacturing of advanced defence and aerospace solutions. The FAT is a key phase in the delivery process, during which the customer visits the supplier’s facility to verify, through detailed inspections and laboratory tests, that the systems fully meet the agreed technical and contractual requirements. This ensures that each system is ready for operational deployment, both in terms of performance and reliability.
From hardware verification to comprehensive system diagnostics, every step taken during the FAT brought the Guardian project closer to its final goal: delivering cutting-edge radar technology ready for real-world use. Guardian is MetaSensing’s advanced Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) system, designed to provide high-resolution imaging in all weather conditions, day or night. Compact, lightweight, and highly versatile, Guardian is suitable for integration on various airborne platforms, including drones and fixed-wing aircraft. Whether deployed for surveillance, security, or environmental monitoring, Guardian combines state-of-the-art radar capabilities with practical efficiency, offering a flexible and reliable solution for a wide range of operational needs.
On the day of the FAT, MetaSensing hosted Milkor’s technical team for a full day of system validation and review. The activities began with a joint technical briefing, aligning on the testing procedures, performance expectations, and verification methods. This was followed by a detailed laboratory walkthrough, during which Milkor’s representatives closely examined the systems’ mechanical and electronic components. The teams conducted thorough inspections, verified hardware compliance with design specifications, and successfully completed power-up and connectivity checks. The FAT concluded with a comprehensive debriefing, where all test results were reviewed, system performance was validated, and final considerations for deployment were discussed. With all acceptance criteria successfully met, the three Guardian units received formal approval, marking a critical step toward their operational integration.
Following this milestone, MetaSensing achieved another important success in March 2025 by supporting the on-site installation, warehouse acceptance, and final testing of the radar systems directly in Indonesia. This two-week mission was carried out flawlessly. The entire process, from local installation to the completion of acceptance tests, proceeded exactly as planned. All systems passed the final verification phase, confirming both the robustness of the technology and the efficiency of MetaSensing’s field support. This achievement highlights MetaSensing’s ability to deliver complex radar solutions globally, ensuring smooth integration and client satisfaction from factory validation to real-world deployment.
