RF Hardware Engineer

  • Reports to: Engineer Manager
  • Job purpose: RF board design
  • Location: MetaSensing, Via Aniene 2, 20151, Milan, Italy
  • Employment condition: Full-time, 40 hours per week.
Candidate must be eligible to work in the EU.

Job Duties:

Candidate must have permission to work in the EU.

Technically responsible for the RF board design and its consistency with the solution, the RF HW Engineer coordinates with the solution Engineering Manager in order to make sure that the top down refinement of the solution is consistent with the hardware strategy and constraints including COTS selection and components reuse.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • Design, develop and optimize Radio Frequency HW and Systems
  • Works with the project team and takes also the full range of activities related to the
    electronic board design
  • Prepares the Design & Justification Files (D&JF) and design guidelines
  • Guarantees adherence to in-scope standards, reuse policy and product development plans

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Experience in RF circuits and related PCB design
  • Experience on new digital enabled integrated RF transceiver architectures or direct
    sampling platforms is a plus
  • Knowledge of and experience in RF simulation tools like ADS, CST, MATLAB or SPICE
  • Experience with RF measurement equipment: oscilloscopes, spectrum and network
    analyzers
  • Programming skills are a plus (VHDL, C/C++, C#, Matlab, Python, LabView).
  • Communication
    Strong communication skills required, including the ability to clearly express technical concepts in verbal and written forms across different management levels.
  • Ability to work in team. Taste for international contacts. Manifest the flexibility needed to be integrated in the different stages of a project.
  • Technical leadership – with ability to build and sustain good working relationships with staff, peers and managers, customers and other stakeholders.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in field with 2+ years’ experience
  • Interpersonal skills – the ability to communicate effectively with peers and act proactively within a team environment
  • Good knowledge of the English language for the working environment
