• Job purpose: To perform structural analyses of a radar payload, using FEM tools to support design, verification, and environmental qualification in a space-oriented development environment. 
• Location: MetaSensing, Via Aniene 2, 20151, Milan, Italy  
• Employment condition: Full-time, 40 hours per week.

Job Duties:  

• Definition, execution, and interpretation of Finite Element Analyses of radar payload structures using Finite Element analyses (static, dynamic, buckling, fatigue as applicable) to support design decisions and qualification activities
• Support environmental qualification campaigns (vibration, shock) with test specifications and post-test correlation
• Interface with other engineering fields (among which integration, electronics, thermal) to best include all the SAR antenna requirements at early stages
• Communicate the activities results with clear and concise presentations, reports and qualification documentation 

Required skills and qualifications: 

• Strong knowledge of structural mechanics and finite element methods 
• Proven experience with Finite Element Analyses for structural designs (e.g. Femap with Nastran, Ansys, Abaqus, or equivalent) 

• Ability to build, validate, and correlate FEM models with test results 
• Experience supporting vibration test campaigns 
• Knowledge of metallic structures and basic understanding of composite materials 
• Knowledge of space products development lifecycle (from concept, through qualification, to delivery) and experience in the space sector or aerospace programs 
• Familiarity with environmental loads and qualification principles according to ECSS 
• Good knowledge of the English language for the working environment 
• Strong analytical mindset with good communication and team-working skills 

Desired Skills / Qualifications  

• Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience in structural analysis roles
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary development environment 
• Ability to interface with test houses, system engineers, and manufacturing teams 
• Experience with radar, RF payloads, or high-precision structures is a plus 

  

Candidate must be eligible to work in Italy. 

Employment condition: Full-time, 40 hours per week. 

Offered salary range: € 40.000-50.000 gross annual
