{"id":1880,"date":"2022-07-06T12:48:48","date_gmt":"2022-07-06T12:48:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mean-orchard.flywheelsites.com\/first-campaign-with-oscar-for-the-esa-ee11-seastar-candidate-mission-2\/"},"modified":"2022-12-05T16:02:55","modified_gmt":"2022-12-05T16:02:55","slug":"first-campaign-with-oscar-for-the-esa-ee11-seastar-candidate-mission-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/metasensing.com\/it\/first-campaign-with-oscar-for-the-esa-ee11-seastar-candidate-mission-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Prima campagna con OSCAR per la missione candidata ESA EE11 SeaSTAR"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>OSCAR (Ocean Surface Currents Airborne Radar Demonstrator) \u00e8 un dimostratore radar ad apertura sintetica interferometrica (InSAR) aviotrasportato a singolo passaggio lungo la rotta in banda Ku (13,5 GHz), sviluppato da MetaSensing nell'ambito di un progetto finanziato dall'Agenzia Spaziale Europea per l'osservazione del movimento della superficie oceanica e il recupero del vento. Lo strumento OSCAR \u00e8 stato sviluppato con parametri di osservazione che si riferiscono direttamente a una potenziale missione satellitare per la misurazione su mesoscala (10-100 km) delle correnti superficiali oceaniche nell'oceano aperto e nelle regioni costiere.<\/p>\n<p>Il monitoraggio della circolazione oceanica ad alta risoluzione sia nello spazio che nel tempo \u00e8 di fondamentale importanza per la comprensione e la modellazione del sistema climatico oceano-atmosfera, soprattutto nelle aree costiere.<\/p>\n<p>Lo strumento OSCAR \u00e8 stato concepito per l'osservazione del movimento della superficie oceanica mediante interferometria e per il recupero del vento mediante scatterometria. Dispone di un fascio scatterometrico 0-Doppler e di due linee di vista complementari (\u00b145 gradi di scarto) a singolo passaggio lungo la rotta, per misurare la velocit\u00e0 di movimento 2D della superficie oceanica e la velocit\u00e0 del vento superficiale.<\/p>\n<p>La prima campagna scientifica con il sistema OSCAR \u00e8 stata eseguita con successo da MetaSensing tra il 17 e il 26 maggio. 2022.  Questa prima raccolta di dati \u00e8 stata effettuata a Brest, su aree oceaniche, nel Mar d'Iroise, in Francia, con OSCAR a supporto della missione ESA SeaSTAR EE11.
